Lukewarm? - Yeah, me too, but i'm done with it.

i don't believe anybody could be more lukewarm than i've been. If you consider what Jesus has done for us & experience his grace, forgiveness & love for us, only then can you imagine my shame. Many things have led me to examine my life & relationship with Jesus, but the most important thing was a friend telling me he was sorry. Yeah, that kind of thing happens everyday, right? Well, maybe so, but this was real & i knew it. The problem was that i was only worried about myself & my feelings. i had become consumed with my self worth, while doing outreach & talking the talk, but not at all right in my heart. i'm sitting here with nothing but my faith in Jesus & my hope that i can get it right. You know, Jesus said a lot of things that cut to the core of our being's, like; what your thinking about, how you treat the people around you, what your intention's are, what's really in your heart, etc. So that's what i'm doing. Examining what i'm all about.

Church people, may i ask a question? If some of you are lukewarm, why do you bother going to church? There is so much you could be doing on the days that you attend church. You know, we're always saying there's not enough hours in the day to get everything done that needs to be done. Just take that extra day, it's got to help a little. Yeah, i know that's a little strong, but as my blog says; i think about things. That's what i'm thinking about today. Why go to church? All we're doing is playing a game.

The bible is filled with what God has said to his people. In my experience, most people haven't even read what God has said. Most of us have just been attending all our lives & it's just something we do. i'm not pointing fingers. i'm looking at my life & wondering why i've been so lukewarm, when Jesus has done so much for me.

Please, just consider what i've said. It's time to get real.

Revelation 3:15-17
“I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You’re not cold, you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale (lukewarm). You’re stagnant (lukewarm). You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless.

Yes, that is in the bible. As i said above, it's time to get real.

Please send to all your lukewarm friends. Don't send it to me. i've already read it.

God Bless
